Four seasons on Feeld with…Nicole

Feeld

February 22nd, 2024

How does a dating app like Feeld fit into your day-to-day life? We’re taking a closer look at how real humans from our community use Feeld over a set course of time—whether that’s back-to-back dates, verbal foreplay, or a reflective period on one’s own.

Nicole has always been unabashedly curious and open-minded in everything she does. A friend told her that she might have fun on Feeld; this year, she found out how true that recommendation was. In this very first edition of A Year on Feeld, Nicole shares how she explored her curiosity, sexuality, and kinks, all while building a community of like-minded people on Feeld.

SPRING: Unhinged spontaneity born from frustration.

Frustrated with the monotony of the other apps, the many vanilla, trout-holding, close-minded men that surround me in corporate America,—how are there so many but somehow they are all the same?!—a friend recommended I try Feeld, ‘technically’ a dating app but more of a place to meet people who are open-minded and curious about themselves, a community where one can form more meaningful connections that might seem nonexistent elsewhere.

I'm the kind of person who'll spill the tea about my quirks, shortcomings, and recent sexcapades within just ten minutes of meeting you. Whether I’m telling you about a time I almost (accidentally) bit off my lover’s testicles, or how I manifested a long lost 8-inch love back into my life, I always have a tale of chaos or exhilaration. It wasn’t often that I found individuals who matched my level of openness until I stumbled upon Feeld. What drew me in was the unabashed openness within the Feeld community. Meeting fascinating characters and diving into incredible, earth-shattering (read: back-breaking) experiences—I'm officially a fan.

SUMMER: Sexual emancipation

I’m not sure if it was the energy of summer, that I was feeling more confident in my sexual identity or maybe Mercury was in retrograde, but once I got my bearings on the app, I was ready to LET LOOSE. The Feeld community really leads by example; people are so honest and open about who they are, what they’re looking for, what they do and don't like. The transparency and support of the community allowed me to explore every side of my sexuality and self define my sexuality where, previously, I kinda just went by the default assignment of ‘straight girl’.

I remember asking my friends to help me think of tasks for my sub and we all giggled and hehe’d about it. But in earnest, I had a natural propensity for torturing men in silly and domestic ways. One friend asked if I was getting paid to subject my sub and I was so confused…like, no, girl, I enjoy this. It dawned on me that the community I had so wholeheartedly become a part of was strictly for my fellow sluts and whores. Not everyone will get it and not everyone is supposed to. But I love it.

FALL: Chaos influencer

There’s a certain level of confidence that comes with being able to articulate your sexuality. Not necessarily with a label like straight, gay, bisexual, etc., but by being able to confidently articulate how being a Dom on the weekends after a long work week is the ultimate stress relief, or how much I appreciate the intimacy of being worshiped for every single perfect inch of my body. I remember being on other apps and feeling shame for stating in detail that I enjoyed being ********, especially when *******, and that I needed a man with ***. Feeld gives me the freedom to shed those unspoken rules and embrace my truth. It’s so liberating to hop right into someone's messages in the most chaotic, intimate, and authentically horned up way possible. It’s a feeling that I've enjoyed so much that I’ve taken it upon myself to start freeing folks from the monotony of the cursed three dating apps by suggesting they explore Feeld.

At this point I’m settled into the position of chaos influencer within all areas of my life. Whether I'm bringing my friends along to get adventurous at the Standard Biergarten or encouraging everyone I know to finger their boyfriends, Feeld has me eagerly leaning into chaos and taking others with me. One thing I know for certain is that we are always going to have a good time at a Feeld event. They are silly, hot, sexy, and everything else you didn’t even know you needed.

WINTER: Revival, renewal

There's something refreshingly different about this app, something that boils down to one word: openness. We all come with our unique quirks, and here on Feeld, we proudly display them in our bios, photos, likes, and dislikes. There's no place to hide here, and there’s no need.

I can't help but cherish the forgotten profiles I've swiped right on, profiles without a single face picture, only a handful of words in a bio, and an invitation to chat. That sense of mystery and enigmatic transparency I absolutely adore.

For me, Feeld isn’t just a dating app—it’s a space that’s tailored for journeys rather than destinations. It's designed for us curious souls ready to explore new dimensions in relationships, sexuality, and human connection. Within the Feeld community, there's a rich tapestry of sexual identities and desires and kinks. It's a space where diversity of all kinds thrives and where the unconventional can find a welcoming home.
