Issue 2: Mind Games is an inquiry into and expression of the puzzles our thoughts create—how they shift, deceive, and reshape across love, memory, and identity. With essays, fiction, photography, and poetry, the issue takes on affirmations, revisions, and the rewrites we make to our own stories, turning assumptions inside out. In the work gathered here, our contributors have taken delicate wrecking balls to all kinds of mind games, gracefully shattering assumptions or elegantly interrogating fears.

Or a holiday. As she travels across the West Coast, Jamie Hood keeps herself on track with these self-soothing mottos and mantras. Here, she offers you a selection to repeat as necessary.

Aren't we all just part of a great literary, liberatory tradition?
